Lara was born in 1939 in Allen, SD to Ella Bad Wound. Lara has one sister, Grace Richards. Lara has 3 children and several grandchildren.
Lara married Bill Wilcox and moved to Rapid City, SD where she worked in Housekeeping for many years up until her retirement. Lara enjoys going to Pow Wow's and visiting with her relatives.
